Hi everybody (too late to say Good Morning) :hello: :hello: :hello:
I wasn't around yesterday to post in 'the thread', but thanks to 'babes 21' for starting it. :T :T
As I settle down to watch Lewis Hamilton earn enough money to pay off most of our debts (only joking - I really hope he does well) I am looking forward to an NSD Sunday. :j :j
So, to keep everyone focused, remeber to post your spends on this Bank Holiday weekend - try not to be 'lured' into the spending mood by all of the spoof Bank Holiday Weekend Sale Offers that 'Must end at 5pm on Bank Holiday Monday' but will, inevitably, be extended or replaced by another 'offer'.
But, if you must spend, just remember the wise words of 'Moozie' and:

:hello: Hi Rog, and everyone to follow. Today WILL be an NSD (hopefully). In fact, if I change my sig and say that today is my 10th NSD this month then that will ensure that I don't spend anything! The photographs that I got developed yesterday will be ready today but will pick them up tomorrow instead as I need to pay when I receive them.
So for the rest of the day I'm going to relax, and I may clean my car and list it on ebay as I've thought long and hard and think that from the end of September (when I go back to uni) I can live without the car. My options are 1. sell the car OR 2. declare the car off-road and not use it, saving petrol and insurance but no sale. Any thoughts anyone? (Sorry for rambling.) x0 -
NSD.....so far anyway. I do need to pop to Mr Ts for stuff for my lunch next week but that's in the budget.
rb6ac - I'd sell it if you're not going to use it. I've started using the train as it's a lot cheaper than running the car. I'd sell it but my son's using it just now as he's handed his car back (an option with his finance deal). I'll probably sell mine as soon as he's got his new one.Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts - DFW Nerd 323

Hello Rog and everyone :j.
Today i have spent £3 and this shall be my total spend for the day. Might list a few things on ebay a little later, need a declutter
.
Hope everyone as a nice day x0 -
£5.10 for me at ALDI on nectarines, soft drinks, rolls, cheese, tomatoes, etc.
£2.50 at Instore on 12 cans of Pepsi Max.
No more groceries for the week.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
I think this is probably the best options - I could do with the cash too. :j Not too sure about selling it on ebay though, may see how much I can get from a dealer or one of those 'webuyyourcar' websites which are advertised on TV and Google. I may get less money from it but at least they can do any work that needs doing and fix anything that needs fixing. Off to research some prices now...rb6ac - I'd sell it if you're not going to use it. I've started using the train as it's a lot cheaper than running the car. Should spend nothing today. Going to cook a roast dinner and then perhaps go to the cinema (I have an Unlimited card and live 5 mins away)

Sell the car, rb6ac - it will only lose more value if you take it of of the road, unless of course it's a vintage Rolls Royce  .
But one word of advice - be very wary of those 'we guarantee to buy your car' companies - they have been known to tell you a price over the phone, but when they turn up to actually 'collect' the car, they will find every excuse possible to reduce their offer.
And good luck back at uni.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

£15 so far today on a new ironing board. We are going out later with some friends for drinks. Just staying local though so will be cheaper than going into town...
Have a good day everyone! :beer:2022 wins include.... £1,000 cheque £150 ASDA gift card £250 Impericon gift voucher £100 cheque £100 of plant bulbs £100 Bower Collective voucher0 -
Thanks Rog  . I had no idea that the online companies did that - may be best if I avoided that route, or get OH (big Scouse lad!) to talk to them when they are here. *Sigh* E-bay it is then!Sell the car, rb6ac - it will only lose more value if you take it of of the road, unless of course it's a vintage Rolls Royce  .

Lots of other ways to sell cars, but if you do use ebay, make sure that you put a sensible 'reserve' price on it. :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser.
