Boiler Service - Another Rip-off by British Gas

I just booked my annual boiler service with British Gas and had to book the usual half day appointment, annoying as per usual. They then tried to sell me a 'new service' where they can give me a 2-hour appointment slot for a mere £3 per month extra.

Seriously, this is something they should be offering as standard. I already pay a shed-load for their boiler cover.

    Ta for that. We've used a local guy in the past (at our previous house) and they left our boiler in an unserviceable condition which significantly shortened its life. The advantage of using someone like BG is that there's some protection if things go wrong.
