due to nearly completing all my decorating tasks and not having any furniture i'm keeping, except a table and chairs, I am going to need to buy a new sofa, 2 beds, wardrobes, chest of drawers, and more!
I'd like to stick with new stuff and prefer to avoid leather (I do like leather sofas, but dont agree with it being veggie). My first thoughts are check argos's home booklet, ikea, next, dunelm, diy shops like homebase, bhs..
Anyone got any recommendations where to find good value stuff. I can be fussy with regards to how things look and I will always spend a bit more if it means getting something I like. So anyone bought any big furniture lately and recommend anywhere?

we like argos and ikea for value.
depends where you live too. i know a really cheap place in bolton for value.
an old mill on chorley new rd that sells new stuff. inc the same stuff you can get from argos etc... he uses the same suppliers. but his overheads are much cheaper.Get some gorm.0 -
I highly recommend www.pinesolutions.co.uk (cashback available if you go through Quidco) for furniture. We bought their Oxbury pine bedroom furniture and will be returning to them for more furniture in the future (customer service lady told me she had the same range of furniture herself!). Brilliant customer service and brilliant delivery service by proper furniture removal drivers rather than couriers who dump the boxes and run! It's worth spending a bit more to get furniture that will last IMO. They have a sale on this weekend so have a look.
Argos can be a bit hit and miss. Tesco Direct - i wouldn't touch their furniture again - we bought their pine bedroom furniture packages and after many hours constructing just one wardrobe sent the whole lot back due to it's dire quality! You do get what you pay for!
Hope that helps
