My old machine has broken so I need to replace it with another "semi integrated" one. I have narrowed it down to between Siemens, Neff or Bosch which all look the very similar and I understand are all made in the same factory. Any advice which to go for. The prices are all very comparable.

Hello inforapenny
Welcome to the MSE site.
We have a Neff integrated dishwasher. It's given good (trouble free) service for 10 years. It's a personal choice but we'd buy Neff again.
I hope that helps.10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j :cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Give blood, save a life. 0 -
My Siemens "semi integrated" machine has hung up its rubber gloves so I need a replacement. I have narrowed it down to between Siemens, Neff and Bosch, all of which are very similar and prices very comparable. Any advice which to go for? Also where to get one at the cheapest price!0

Must be the day for it. MY dishwasher has also given up the ghost!
Any recommendations, or any to steer clear of?Debt free!!!!!!!!!! :j0 -
I've just bought the Bosch SGI57M05 semi integrated and it is very good.
If you want a quiet machine then this is the one to have. It is unbelieveably quiet and unless it's draining/filling you can't actually hear it running.0 -
What's the difference between a fully integrated and a semi-integrated machine please? The models I just looked at looked the same to me and both types needed your own door, but I know I'm missing something. Herman - MP for all!

Bosch, Neff and Siemens are all made by Bosch. I wont matter which one you get. Just get the cheapest one for the comparable model.(".)0

Fully-integrated usually have controls on the edge of the door. Semi-integrated have controls in front; the other free part of the front panel is covered by matching door:aliasojo wrote:

I've always wondered should our semi-integrated dishwasher break - does the panel (i.e. the bit that matches the kitchen) come off easily and how?0

Ours is fixed with a couple of L-shaped brackets screwed on to the back side of the panel and to the side edges of the door. Very easy to remove ...ajsdoc wrote:I've always wondered should our semi-integrated dishwasher break - does the panel (i.e. the bit that matches the kitchen) come off easily and how?0 -
AEG, Electrolux and Zanussi are all part of the Electrolux Group and fairly similar, also the John Lewis branded items look similar aswell.
