    Sorry Alex,

No more information as an egg money card holder than you can find yourself.

Suggest you give apple a call and see whether the offer also applies to education prices.

Egg money is a good product though - especially as the cashback rate is about to double for the next month or so.

    R.
Smile :), it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
  • Don't see why you shouldn't be able to, I take it you get to the Apple store from the Egg site via a link, you just need to find the bit on the Apple site about education discounts and click that, you normally need to do it from a university/college networked PC as you won't be able to get access from home for example.
2p off is still 2p off!
  • This is the option I've used in the past with no problems, BUT I couldn't do it from home, only from work, it must be administered by Apple, but mine worked out at about 17.5% less then the normal Apple store price, maybe I'm getting confused, the link I use is http://apple.procureweb.ac.uk/ and then select the option Shop for yourself (Staff & Students) and then enter the institute I work for. I normally go via a cashback site (probably the same process as going via Egg) and then the HE link is there on the homepage somewhere. HTH.

  • The educational discount isnt much - well not 10% anyway. I just tried it with a few items. The cheapest mac mini has slightly over 6% discount... the cheapest powerbook has slightly over 8% discount. So it probably varies depending on which item you are buying...

10% sounds a good deal... especially if you get it on top of the educational price...

I had an email from apple yesterday, which has a discount code for "£23 off online Apple Store orders over £235. Valid until 30/11/05."

Just thinking... educational discount + egg 10% + discount code + cashback site... ???

Couldn't do the cashback site plus Egg as the Egg cashback will work via a link and so you can't do 2 cashbacks via this method if that makes sense!
2p off is still 2p off!
  • oh i didnt realise you had to click a link for egg... i get ya...
  • Oh, OK I get you now (finally!), maybe the best option would be the Egg site and then a discount code, this would depend on your total spend. Maybe give Apple a call about their store as it's administered by them and they'll be best placed to help.

Yep give Apple a call, they're very helpful. Also if you supply them proof of your student status or relationship with the education sector then your orders will take less time to process and also they won't request proof from you in the future during their random checks so there won't be any unexpected delays.
