Hellloooooooo.
I shouldnt spend anything today. We are going out for lunch with work for a joint leaving/birthday do, so that will be paid for - hoorah!!
I feel so much happier knowing im not wasting money (despite being annoyed that I had to spend £2 yesterday)...
I have £250 left for the month, and since payday is only 2 weeks on Monday I will try and save £150 of it, and also my ebay money (another £150!)....
Its pay review/bonus time in December, fingers crossed!!!!
xx

Hi
Just paid credit card balance £139.00-and the rest of debt has been shifted to 0% credit card till April and then I will be debt-free. 6 more payments :T
Its funny that 18months ago we had 2 very good incomes coming in, were paying only minimum payments on cards etc and wasting soooooooo much money on rubbish and not saving anything. Now, I am disabled-OH is my FT carer and we live entirely on benefits and we are paying much bigger chunks off credit cards and saving a little each month
I worked out the other week that we're saving over £700 per month compared to 18 months ago  This is basically on food (meal planning/cooking from scratch etc), switching over certian suppliers and credit cards etc.
Have a great day everyone.

Thanks Penny Pincher, that's a really good incentive to those of us who are meeting our repayments at the moment and might be tempted to take on a little more debt, just so that we can hurry along the things we want in life. You never know what is round the corner, so make (debt repayment) hay while the sun shines!
today I have spent nothing, but will be buying lunch (1.25 soup and roll). Last night I somehow ended up with "nothing to eat", at least nothing i could stomach. So i spent £6 in somerfield. Not on a take away curry as I had originally promised myself, but on stuff that adds to the storecupboard and will be worth the money. Still I went over my grocery challenge food budget so I'm annoyed. I did win something though in the Somerfield swipe ..... not the holiday ... not one of the minis. ..... a jar of somerfield own roast coffee. (I mean, not even nescafe!!)Debt Oct 2005: £32,692.94

Hi
Like us-you always think-that will never happen to me! In our case it did and was very sudden. Luckily we didnt have any loans just credit cards and I suppose with what our income used to be our debt was very low! I used to shop exclusively at M&S/Waitrose and refused to shop elsewhere. On average i was spending £100 a week on food then ordering take out 2-3 times a week  I now cook everything from scratch/meal plan and spend about £35 a week for all food and cleaning stuff. We used to waste so much money and it totally disgusts me now.

Bad day today - my car is in for a service
Luckily my expense claim is big enough this month to cover it, so the money doesn't actually have to come out of my account to pay for it. I pay for all my work expenses on a single credit card, then just pay off the whole balance when I get the money back from work. This month's expense claim was £909 & my c/card bill is only £513.
I still resent paying for the service though!0 -
Spent nowt yet, but need some fruit later for snacks, and petrol.
Desperately trying to save money as scared I will be the one made redundant in January - boss thinks one of us will definitely go, and as I am most expensive and the last one in...time to save serious cash! DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
