I'm also on Telewest and initially purchased a Safecom Wireless Cable Router from Ebuyer, the unit is well spec'd - BUT after three failaures (and replacement units from Ebuyer), all experiencing similar problems (related to high usagage/throughput) I would strongly suggest you think twice before buying a cheep router. The problems with all the Safecom's was - they could'nt seam to cope with being on all the time, with high traffic usage. I now have a Linksys WRT54GS. I also install similar Linksys models for numerous friends, without any issues. Netgear are also good, that would be my second choice.

Although I'm always keen on a bargain - imho - I would get a semi-decent router. like the WRT54GS or similar (this will allow you to connect upto 4 hardwired PC's to their RJ45's and has wireless too.... - it also has a speedbooster feature too), slightly lesser models are availiable without the wireless or speedbooster features.

    Hope those thoughts help.

I would recommend getting a Linksys WRT54GS / WRT54G cause the firmware can be flash with a third party one (ie http://www.sveasoft.com/) and give you quite a lot of extra features which you won't normally find on a router at that cost. But you must not buy version 5 only 4 and below. Cause version 5 they change Operating system and reduce the RAM hence the third party firmware can't be loaded to it.
