Problem calling Ecuador via call overriders

I have signed up to 1899 & later 18185, with no problems, to make daytime UK calls and particularly calls to Ecuador - landline & mobile. However, while Ecuador is listed as a destination by both providers, I always get the message that this destination is not available yet and am instructed to dial an 0871 number at ~10p/min. 1899 have replied saying there systems are operating OK, and I am waiting for a reply from 18185, although they do seem to be using the same provider. Has anybody had similar problems calling overseas?
Thanks
Jon.

1899, 18185, and 18866 are all owned by the same Swiss group as are a lot of the other cheap call providers listed here : http://callchecker.moneysavingexpert.com/intcallchecker/ecuador0

As jhp says a lot of the previous mentioned dialthros are owned by Finerea the owners of 18185/1899 .The following 3 arent . 4cheapcalling, 05pence, abroadphone , all from Callax. Try at least one.
HOWEVER remember that as soon as you get thro on any dialthro number you will be charged whole minute billing plus the connection charge by BT or whoever. So if the message says number not available you will still get charged. That is the advantage of 18185/1899 (when they work)
This is just a rough note I put together some months back so you can see
Finerea and other cos.(with thanks to someone else who put the Finerea details together)

Thanks.
As you say non-account methods charge as soon as you get through which was why I wanted to use the override no.s such as 1899/18185. It's just annoying that their advertised destination I want does not work - France incidently was OK. Also I had been using an old BT handset which could store 32 digit numbers, so I could store the acces no. plus the destination no. in one location. I recently purchased a new corded handset and forgot about the storage, and found it would only store 16 digits. Trying to find the storage capacity of other phones since has proved tedius or impossible, and the few I have looked at store 20 digits max.
