Keep on posting guys this is one thing that we can do for free lol.
Thanks to everyone who wants to join keep me updated as i will for you. Just taking a break from filling in that application form for 2nd job. Nearly finished it so cross those fingers for me. The extra money will be used purely for my debts.Proud to be Sorting my Debts0 -
Hi everyone just a quick update,
Well i have set myself up a spreadsheet to keep track of what I am spending and it is going well, i have kept to this months limit and when I get paid on 24th of this month will be able to reduce that overdraft down to £250!!!!:j
What was funny was how my bank statement showed only direct debits and standing orders this month and 2 cash withdrawels which was my allocation for the month and the shopping. Only dealing in cash now and it really makes me think how much i must have frittered away in the past.
I have an interview for one of the jobs I have applied for, it is better than the one i have at the moment and would mean i wouldn't need a second job. So keep the fingers crossed for me.
I have sorted my spreadsheet for the next 6 months and have explained my position to all my friends. Most are understanding. By Christmas I will have enough to buy the presents (only getting my parents something everyone else is getting a card) and will not be in my overdraft. This is a first! I can't wait
Oh yes and still have not had a cigarette.
How are you all going??Proud to be Sorting my Debts0 -
Hi Sortingfunds
Can I join? I will be 35 in August 2012. I should be able to be debt free by then if I dont muck up again. Loan due to finish two years later than that butI have already repaid £1600 early.
Well done on the quitting thats a great help not just for your finances. Fingers crossed for the job interview.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -
Well im back online again,
A special welcome to Hannah) and Positive, keep with it imagine what it will be like to be debt free it will be a great feeling!!
Just off for a walk now (something i can luckily do for free), I joined that new way of making a bit of extra cash via Moneysavingexpert the one where you review the music and am going to put it towards my mini break next August! It is worth doing, pennies make the pounds as they say.
I am not avoiding shops but it has made me notice how I was sucked in to the whole if you have this it will make you feel better. Not any more:rotfl:
How is everyone else doing???
Keep paying off those debts!:jProud to be Sorting my Debts0 -
I will be 35 in 2013 and hope to have it all paid off before then! So I will join you if you dont mind

My Snowball says it will be 2015 if I keep paying at the current rate, but I hope to change jobs in the new year so I can pay more.
My debt levels are below in my sig...
In Jan 2007 I had a debt of £27,896.00 :eek:In October 2011 I paid it off and owned £0.00 - Kinda proud of this!:T0 -
Hi guys, i'd like to join - 31 at the moment and will be 32 next month.
Would like to be debt free by my 35th too - thats 3 years for me.
havent been very good on keeping tabs on what i spend during the week so i'm hoping this thread will keep me on the straight and narrow.
Spend £15 today on food - so hopefully that will cover my lunch for the week. Its the going out after work that seems to get me in trouble
- the good thing is its nearly winter so that will make me want to stop in more.
Have applied for 2 part time jobs so far - havent heard anything yet.
I am going to go and count my pennies jar
