I've got the R300 and it prints great photos (but I do use good quality Tetenal paper and genuine Epson ink) and printing onto printable CDs and DVDs is superb.0 -

Have you tried cleaning the head with warm water, I assume you run the deep clean routine a few times, the Canon printers are dye based and water soluable, and clean up well.
Epsons are pigment based and are mostly glycerol based.Seth.0 -
Epson printers are the best for photo printing.
However, in my business I was always told to buy HP printers, as the print heads are built onto the ink cartidge, unlike the epson, etc are built into the printer.
If you are not using your printer regularly, then the ink dries up in the print heads and can clog up.

Thanks a lot. I've tried to get some advice on this. I've run deep clean many times to no effect. Haven't tried warm water and not sure which bits to clean. Sorry, I've unplugged the printer to see if there was a way into it. Did this with the old Epson and managed to clean it. Can't see a way into The Canon S330.
Thanks again.0 -
I have an Epson R300 and we have had no problems with it (upto now, now I have siad that I probably will!). It prints really well and we buy the ink for it off ebay for around £20 for all 6 cartridges - dont touch shops own now when can get Epson for that price!Weight Loss - 102lb0
