ASDA Codes Thread 2 (NO CHAT)

Just to let formites know that Asda take back all of the £5 vouchers you spend with them from the colleagues annual bonus. This is so unfair to the Asda collegues who are on minimum wage as it is and only get an average yearly bonus of around £300 if they are lucky.
So please, £5 may be a great saving for you but it is unfair to make the colleagues pay for them out of their bonus.
source.....Me, Asda employee who got screwed over with the bonus this year.0 -
Minimum wage? Please! I know a lot of people that work at my local Asda and they are not on minimum wage, well above it in fact.
One of my friends works nights there and is on well over £9 an hour. Most people don't get bonuses so I think it's pretty cheeky of you to be moaning about customers saving £5 off their shopping just because it is coming out of staff bonuses, you still get your wage and the bonus is just that.. a bonus.
Asda could stop the bonuses completely just like most other places have and just pay you and other staff their annual salary so stop moaning and consider yourself lucky that you actually have a job, there are a lot of people out there that would kill for a secured job right now with or without a bonus.
This needs moving to another section of the forum, it's not a grabbit is it.0 -
Are they balls on minimum wage! My sister works there and is on nearly £7 a hour!
Plus that's a lie about the £5 out of the bonuses. What a stupid thing to say.
And bonuses?! Be bloody lucky they get any bonus at all!0 -
It's not balls, Under 18's are on minimum wage. And yes we do get a bonus depending how your store performs. And yes they told us this year that they had taken the £5 vouchers redeemed by customers out of our bonus pot.
Before you start calling me a liar and jumping down my throat, het your facts right.0 -

You will still get some sort of bonus on top of your contractual salary so I see no reason for you to moan, a bonus is a bonus. You're in a better position than most people out there, come back and moan if they cut your hours and or pay or at the very worst make you redundant.
Don't come on here crying that they are taking £5 customer discounts out of your end of year bonus, it's Asda's money and they can do with it what ever they wish, if that is to use some of their bonus pot to attract more customers into their shops then in a way they are keeping you in a job, if they didn't do offers like these to compete with other supermarkets your sales would be down and they would be doing a lot worse than skimming a few quid off of staff bonuses.0 -

what £5 vouchers? have I missed something?
And surely the bonus is based on asdas profit, so if more customers are attracted, many buying items at a greater price than elsewhere - asda are NOT cheapest for everything - then the profit will increase and if asda are playing fair, so will the bonus.
Tescos are not making as much profit as they would like so are offering money off vouchers - I've had several recently both via clubcard or the till, and it keeps me shopping there even though I don't like them. If I got an Asda one I would go there, but no such voucher has appeared.0 -

Minimum wage for under 18s is pretty much the norm! Stop crying, I'm sure plenty of people your age would kill for your position. And £300 bonus! At asda! You must be working in a store that makes a lot of sales, we're lucky to get £50. Without those vouchers, less customers thus less sales. So less bonus anyway Which means less payrises and more chance of you losing your job. You're under 18, still a child, any wages you earn you should be very happy to recieve, I know I had no income from 16-18, EMA if I was lucky2014 SassySessy Active on DooYoo, Pinecone, Swagbucks, InstaGC and Valued Opinions tracking...

Hello OP, I sympathise with you there. But shouldn't you take that up with your store manager?:p Just be grateful that you still have a job. Its better to have a job than not to have a job.
You are only 18 ( I presumed) & you got many more years ahead of you - if you are still in 6th form do concentrate on your study, go to uni get a degree then go back to Asda & tell the management where to shove their staff bonus:rotfl:
It took me many years to get to where I am now. And I wish you luck and I shall take up you offer not to use the £5 when you spend £40 because I don't shop at Asda anyway:D:D:D
And guys don't be so hard on the OP - he still got a lot to learn;)RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -
