Mine is too! I dyed mine a fortnight ago and it hasn't stopped itching. very odd, I've been dying mine since I was 14 on and off, and never had this problem before.

Go to boots or similar tomorrow and get some Nizoral shampoo, smells like vosene but i have found it eases my itchy scalp when it flares up, failing that a trip to the doctors for some steroid lotion called betnovate should work.

Thank I'll try that shampoo, thank you.
Betnovate don't forget to be careful not to overuse, as it's a steroid can cause premture aging of the skin.

I've found T Gel shampoo useful for this, but you'll need to really condition your hair too as it can make it a bit dry-worth it though!

Nizoral is very good - but it could strip the colour from your hair.........

Best to check with the pharmacist first I think, just my tuppence worth!

  • Capasal from the doctor for dry itchy scalp is what I;ve got, not a great smell but a nice conditioner gets rid of that part of it...
  • Did you have your hair dyed professionally at a salon? If so, they should have performed a sensitivity test on you prior to dying your hair.

And if it was at a salon, I would go back and tell them, so that they can make a note on your records (they do keep records, don't they?) and not do things exactly the same next time.

I think scalps develope sensitivity to repeated hi-lift tinting.

Thats why I stopped going blonde & went back to brown.

My scalp slowly seemed more irrated after each time I had the roots done.
