Had a new boiler and a water tank fitted. The pumbers used a roll of cling film with adhesive backing to protect the kitchen, landing and bathroom floor. After finishing the work they removed the film. It was a struggle removing it. The adhesive was strong. After cleaning up i noticed the film had left adhesive residue on the kitchen lino and on the laminated floor in the hallway.
What can i use to remove the adhesive without damaginging the flooring. Heard that varnish remover will soften the adhesive but am not sure if it will damage the finish of the laminate floor.
Thanks in advance to those who replied.

Whatever you use remember to test it in an unobtrusive spot first - sometimes it can reactwith plastic, I've learnt the hard way!0

Eucalyptus oil. I've used it on most hard surfaces. You only need a little and rub gently until the adhesive softens, continue rubbing and it will come off.0

White spirit.
I used it on our solid wood flooring in the hallway when we first moved in as there were blobs of glue on it that looked awful. Worked a treat.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
