Me sticking my bib in here, I'd be thinking of leaving IT out of it if I possibly could too. One of the things I realised when I was heading for BR was that there were some people I thought I could rely on who in the end could barely be relied on to put one foot in front of the other without a large amount of cajoling from someone else. If this person has known about your hearing date & hasn't got the money to give you knowing how important it is to you & knowing that you've helped them in the past, then I think it would be worth looking at your finances again & seeing if you can go BR without their help, even if it means delaying things a bit or selling items you don't need. The only person I rely on now is myself.
There'll be no problem with cancelling the court date, as if you're petitioning for your own BR then the date is largely up to you. However, if you need to go BR by a certain date, then try to book a new date that you know you can financially cope with while you're on the phone especially if your court normally has a waiting list for appointments. Good luck.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

The worst of all this is that IT is OHs boss whom OH has worked for for the last 28 years.
IT has been BR twice himself. IT is a selfish little man who by now should know a lot bloody better.
