Cheers

Morgan Stanley Credit Cards are now owned by Barclaycard, so I'm guessing not (but I'm no expert).

In fact, I got a letter saying my MS card was going to be replaced by a Barclaycard next month - so if the same is happening to you (and I think it's happening to all cardholders) then I'd guess definitely not. Still, you may be able to ring up Barclaycard once you are moved over and ask about a different rate without having to do a BT.

  • No you can't for reason stated above.

Had you requested your BT a couple of months ago, you would have been okay. Unfortunately, you're too late because Barclaycard and Morgan Stanley cards are now underwritten by the same lender, Barclays Bank. You should receive a letter about this any day now.
People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.
  • What's everyone's reaction to the new card? I am pretty annoyed as I previously had a Barclaycard but was so fed up with it that I moved to Morgan Stanley!
When I called to confirm receipt of the new card as requested I was not amused that the customer service exec tried to sell me ID protection. I told her twice that I didn't want it, and she insisted it protected my date of birth and sensitive information - whatever that means. Do they not do that if you don't pay extra for it?!

Rant over - I'm off to look for a new cashback card!
    Overpay!
