Norton 360 Security Problem

Hi all.
I got an exchange on my laptop today at PC World (really impressed by their customer service) but having to reinstall everything on the new one now. I'm having a problem with Norton.
Install disc, run it and when it comes to the security key, typing it in, but it's coming up 'not a recognised key'. The security key is definately what is on the inside of the box, and I know my Norton disc can be installed onto 3 computers (so far only having been installed on my old laptop, therefore I should be able to install onto another 2). Can anyone help. I'm really not technical at all, and haven't a clue what to do.
