Hi guys just been looking for the above but don't really know what I looking for. I thought they would have removable storage rather than the measly internal storage the cheaper ones have. Is it worth buying one, if so which on? Or just buy an mp3 player with a voice recorder on it?

It all depends on what you want one for - if it's just for taking notes, then a cheap and cheerful MP3 player with a voice recorder will probably be fine - the recordings wn't be brilliant, but should be listenable (I actually use a cheap-as-chips 512Mb MP3 player I got in Asda to record interviews at events for a podcast I produce; I've set the recording settings to the highest available on the device and, once I've tweaked the recordings in a sound editing package, it's reasonably good!)
You might want to look at the Creative range - some of their Zen players have a built-in recorder and, if I recall correctly, some have a line in/mic socket (2.5mm) to which you can connect a powered external microphone. Alternatively, if you have an iPod (or are considering getting one) you can get microphone devices for that which work quite well and produce decent stereo MP3 files (the Reduced Shakespeare Company podcast uses this for their interviews and they generally sound good!)
Au Res.,
