debt agency have us in their sites

not sure if on the correct forum however we just received a letter today from a debt collection agency stating that Tesco credit card had sold them our debt. We informed tesco several years ago we could not afford to pay off the minimum each month and came to an arrangement which appeared satisfactory to both parties. however we have now been threatened with court action for the outstanding 4k by this agency and are worried sick. what can we do..... help?

    hi...suggest you go to the debt free wannabee forum...it sounds a fair way from court yet so don't fret.....the folks on the DFW forum will know more....good luck - take care.... they're just trying to scare you.
