Darlington Building Society Bond 7 sounds good?

Am thinking of investing in Darlington BS 2 year fixed rate rolling investment bond 7 which pays 6.55% gross. Minimum investment is 10K. Is this a good idea or is there a better place for my money?

Comments

  • Not a bad rate at all, but looking at two year bonds only, and Building Societies only, the Stroud and Swindon are offering 7.1%; Progressive 6.65% and the Loughborough 6.59%.

If you want to save with a bank several are offering over 7% at present. Have a look here for details.

Kaupthing Edge currently have a 3-year bond paying 7.67% gross/7.15%AER.

Many thanks for the info. Clearly I can do better than go with Darlo BS.
