How do you clean Melamine doors?

We have just moved and obviously money is tight. We are going to decorate the bedroom and there are double built in wardrobes with melamine doors, we want to keep them as it would be too expensive to replace. Does anyone know how to clean them or what to clean them with? Thanks

Cif cream cleaner (or similar) and hot water plus cloth should do the job.

Thanks I will give it a go. I didn't know if there was a solvant or something like that you could use.0

If you use a cream cleaner, make sure it's a no-scratch one like ecover. Vim do a no-scratch cream cleaner but it's quite hard to find. Or you could try Stardrops, that seems to be a good general cleaner.0

If badly stained try diluted bleach.0
