Need help getting a quote that covers my laptop outside the house.

my insurance is up for renewal with Barclays, contents only, and they are quoting me £24 per month for me and my housemate, £50,000 cover, accidental damage cover in the home, a £75 excess. If I want to cover my laptop for outside the home, it pushes the price up to £30 a month, but that covers up to £2500 of personal possessions on your person per claim eg if you got mugged. I went to gocompare.com and ran through a quote, and Swinton came up cheapest through MMA as underwriters (never heard of them but they told me they're big and french!!) and they wouldn't cover my laptop, but, with a £150 excess, they would be £18.64 a month.
I called Barclays and they said that although I have gadget cover on my account, it doesn't cover things like a laptop. if I was to go with Swinton at £18.64, is there a company I could insure JUST my laptop through, and still bring it under £30 a month? If not, i'l just stick with Barclays. Any advice appreciated. Ta
