windows media player

Hi
When playing a cd in windows media player all the songs are listed on the righthand side. What i want to know is how to put the cd onto the cpmputer.

Also what i want to know, how to edit the song in media player. Like remove some of the song.

I hope that some of you understand what i mean.

assuming you are using a new version of media player, click the button "Copy from CD", connect to the internet, and click "find album info" (has a magnifying glass by it ) this will get media player to try and find the track and album names, saving you the bother :)
The songs will be ticked on the very left hand side, if you dont want some of the songs, just remove the tick .
When your happy, click the red "copy music" button (next the the "find album info" button)
I should imagine it will copy the music to a folder called "My Music" in "My Documents" but to check the location, go to "Tool / Options" and then click the "copy music" tab, you will then see the location of where you music gets saved.

    Hope that makes sense ...!

As for editing music, media player cant do this, but there is free software which can, there is a thread which lists loads of free software, including a program called Audacity which is free to use and can be found HERE
    Hope this helps :)

On my version of Windows Media Player (v10), all you need to do put your CD in the drive, start up WMP, click the "Rip" tab near the top, tick what songs you want and then click "Rip Music" button.

The songs will then be available to play from your hard drive without needing the CD.

To edit songs you will need an additional program. Not sure what to recommended as I've never edited songs.

    Hope this helps you though
