i won an item on ebay and the seller has said that the item was posted last monday. i have not received the item in over 5 days. the seller has told me that she has posted it and cannot gaurentee delivery as she has done her bit.
whats the next step to take on this, at the moment she has not said she will not refund or send a replacement. im not expecting it tommorrow but she said get back to her tommorrow if not delivered. the item is only worth around £15.
ive never had a situation where i have not receieved the item so in my experiance i have not had to take any further action.
I would like this sale to end gracefully, either receiving my item or a refund.
Advice please

The seller is responsible until the item reaches you and would have to refund you or you start a dispute if it doesn't arrive. However 5 days isn't that long to wait. The post seems to be taking longer now so I would leave it until next week before taking it further. Hope that helps a bit:)DEBT JUNE 2008 - £17,807.53:eek:DEBT SEPTEMBER 2008 - £16,325.70WINS: £150 THEATRE TOKENS, £100 CASH, MAMMA MIA SOUNDTRACK, RIZZLA WALLET, TREK BAR, BOTTLE OPENER, KEY RING :T0

no i am not on the sellers back, dont jump too quickly. i have won 2 items about the same time, one has come which was posted on Thursday, this was a large book and it took one day to get here.
the other as ive said was posted Monday, 5 days ago, all im doing is keeping the seller informed. All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -

If it was sent standard parcels or 2nd class 5 days is nothing to worry about. 1st would be abnormal, but still it would be more likely for it to be delivered, than lost.
When people say we have yet to receive an item sent with RM, we straight away send them a copy of the POP, this puts there mind at rest and are then normally happy to wait around 2 weeks. But we are a business so we have to be proactive, if its just a private individual you have to re adjest your expectations and slightly dodgy service is just part of the course.....and if you paid by paypal your already over protected anyway!!0 -

thanks for that, i just dont want to jump in demanding this and that, that is not my style. its just in my experiance of buying and selling items have always turned up in a day or 2 not 5 days. ive sent all types of parcels from golf equipment to BMX bike to surfboard. All the big powers they've silenced me. Do you know what RM service was used? You can file an 'item not recieved' dispute but I think this can only be done 7 or 8 days after the auction end. I'd give it a bit longer anyway just to give RM a bit more time.
I've had to put a couple of 'item not recieved' disputes in with Ebay, and have won them and gotten all of my money back (I paid via Paypal so was protected with their buyer protection).Total debt as at Jul 2012: Too much!0
