Which card is worth keeping

in Credit cards
Hello
My bloke is in a bit of a mess with debts, he keeps putting things on credit cards rather than saving up so I have told him I am going to confiscate them all and cut them up.
He is happy for me to do this but wants to keep one for genuine emergencies.
All his cards are at standard rate, he has no current offers on any of them, and in the past he has missed a few payments, but now has a direct debit set up for them (after losing his MBNA 0% deal for paying late ) so I doubt he can apply for another card at 0% just yet.
Which one of these is more likely to offer him any deals in the future, i.e which should I not cut up? (I am actually going to hide them so that if he gets any 0% deals we can transfer balances easier)
Virgin
MBNA Platinum
Mint
Lloyds Airmiles Duo.
Halifax One ( empty at the moment, but only has £500 limit so he never activated new card)
All his cards have between £4000 and £6000 on them and are at between 70 and 90% of their credit limit.
As I have Virgin myself and get offers quite regularly I am thinking that may be the one to keep
Opinions please?
Thanks

Im not 100% sure but I have a Virgincard also and they do seem to offer good deals, again with Mint. But Virgin gave me a bigger limit so I would say Virgin - just my opinion thoughxXx0

Cut them all up. You can request to be supplied with a replacement card from any of them when he actually needs it. To be honest, your original post implies he cannot be trusted to have a card constantly at the ready.0
