I have to say the experiences some people have been receiving from some SA's are awful. I used to work for Boots as an SA (must be 20 years ago now - god I sound old!) and it was actually quite hard to get a job there - manners, acknowledging the customer and customer service was paramount. At the slightest query from a customer, a manager would rush over and apologise, refund etc, etc.

Having served in Boots under these rules myself - bad customer service is one of my biggest pet hates now. You would think nowadays as the receipts have a name on and the current surveys carried out, SA's would be trying to keep their jobs.

I would say if you are hiding a glitch and they say no, accept it. If you are doing "nothing wrong", ie using one of THEIR vouchers - DO NOT accept attitude or bad service. They are PAID to provide customer service. PLEASE do not be embarressed. If you feel they were rude, stand in your place and ask to speak to a manager/supervisor - believe me, it is the SA's who should be embarressed, and more people should be pointing this out.

At the very least, at the end of the transaction, perhaps confirm their name "Ok, you are Sandra. Thank you". and walk away. Even if you do nothing, this gets them thinking "oh god - what do they want my name for?".

I am not a constant moaner and have commented many times on excellent service - but remember their job is "SALES ASSISTANT" - they are not selling if they are chasing customers away and we should remind them of that.

    Rant over. Sorry.

    hey broclo

how you doing :-) Just noticed your signature.

So did you manage your ebay challenge:D

No was too busy shifting things on freecycle that were bigger first, starting ebay next thursday so I get two weekend exposures on a 10 day listing.

Probably could have ebayed half the freecycle stuff...but could not be dealing with the hassle lol

May up my goal a bit, but bit undecided whether I can part with some of the things lol.

Mind you, if I do not ebay the stuff my mum will start smuggling it in the bin bags lol

Hey Mrs T! You are also in Glasgow if my memory is correct?
RM bags were from sauchiehall street - 2 left
Half price suncare from west end retail park on crow road (with lovely store manager)

I am desperate for some TD wipes - if you see anywhere in Glasgow please let me know! I'm planning on a Braehead trip in the next few days or maybe the Fort

hey heather yeah im from glasgow. had an unexpected trip into gla as mum had an errand to run. only nipped into st enochs and no bags there, no ts serum and didnt really get time as mum isnt good shopping lol

However I did take a no7 autumn palette and went to ss. was planning on paying with pinky and till spit. scanned pinky first and machine said not recognised  tried again and the same thing so I just left it.

Do you think boots are on to this? has anyone else tried to use both vouchers with sucess today.

heather wouldnt bother with braehead personally as this store is pants imho :D
  • SLOW DOWN LADIES :D Have just spent 1/2 hour catching up on the 10+ pages that have appeared since lunchtime, and could see the total page count increasing as I worked my way through :rotfl:

Bebebelle...please tell me that it wasn't the glittery J'Adore you got Mr Bebebelle to return? I love my bottle of this :)

mrsbluebear...did you use the gold/copper colour from the Autumn palette in today's picture? It looks fab on you :)

I really must take some photos for the challenge too - only problem with doing it in the week is I tend to be putting my makeup on in the morning before work, and then taking it off again in the evening. Plus I still haven't quite mastered the flicky eyeliner thing yet, and tend to stick to lining just my eyes, upper and lower lids.

Mrs Buffy Bat Senior (my Mum ;)) went shopping in Nottingham today and couldn't find any mags, and Mr Buffy Bat went to John Lewis instead of Boots today...Friday is a very important day for me - I am getting a long awaited payrise and bonus in this month's salary...and I am going to finally treat myself to a much wished for Digital SLR camera - Photography is one of my great loves and I have been longing to up the stakes a bit, and Friday's bonus means I can finally do it...Mr Buffy went and reserved my chosen camera for me today, so I will be shooting off to JL on Friday afternoon to collect it (and pay for it :D)

Shame I can't get AC points on it :D

  • I popped into one of my locals today and saw some R&M paper bags all sealed up on top f the display, someone had opened one so I took a look. Inside was the old 17 bronzer gwp, some urban decay samples and something else? Oooh I thought I wonder what these are for, they didnt have a barcode on so picked a sealed one randomly and thought what the hell.....the SA can only say no! Went to till with my other bits and SA picks up bag and I said oh thats a freebie from the R&M lady....ok she says.....then I get back to work and open the bag and what do I find.......The old rimmel black set gwp and a barry m glitter tube! Not that Im unhappy but I already have the rimmel gwp! But it was free after all and will go in a nice hamper at christmas....but I so wanted the other bits!

Guess what Im going to try again tomorrow....hopefully get something ifferent this time though.
Will not spend more money:naughty:, but will spend more time looking for that great bargain!
