Has anyone been Bootsing today? I'm curious if there are any new offers or items as someone said they saw employees working on ... oh, what's it called ... a sheet showing them how to re-organize shelves yesterday.
  • Sorry, am new on here so apologies for my first stupid question - but what exactly is a 'till spit'? :-)

Don't apologise - there are no stupid questions! A tillspit is a voucher that is 'spit out' by the till along with your receipt, ie it's a voucher that's printed on receipt paper. At the moment if you spend £5 in boots you get a pinky (an ordinary voucher which is £5 off No7 or ruby & millie cosmetics) and also a tillspit which is £5 off facial skincare. So basically you get £10 worth of vouchers for a £5 spend!

Welcome to bootsing. Be warned - it's highly addictive!:j

  • Help!! I keep reading that you are all using the mag vouchers for 200 points when getting the time delay stuff with the till splits.I've tried this loads of times but get refused each time,SA(different ones each time) says Boots cant pay you to take away a free product, which I suppose is true,(never stopped them before!!);) but they wont even do it even if I've bought something more expensive and paid the difference. One SA did try it but it beeped and she made me feel so greedy I left it. Am I doing something wrong? Would have been so handy to boost my points.........

Seems to be very dependent on SA compliance, this one. Maybe the branch/branches your using have been told by their manager(s) to clamp down on voucher use on freebies - that's happened to a few people before.

I know it's a shame, but just think you're getting freebies anyway. And keep trying - the worst they can do is say no, and you never know, the next SA you ask may be the nice one who'll let you do it!:j

I was only denied the points when I did a transaction with just a TD item and nothing else (even though the same SA had given me the points on the exact same item seconds earlier in a transaction with other items!). Now I buy something inexpensive that I'll use like a shapers bar or some dish liquid with my TD item, hand over the points voucher first, then fish out my skincare tillspit. I've not had a problem with this method!
