yep 2AX you are wrong, since the the company in this case just-dial has made a mistake he can goto his bank/building society and demand an immediate refund and all charges if any in relation to the D/D with the overcharge amount. That is "ONE" of the major advantage of D/D over paying with cash, cheque, credit card, etc. Hence why quite a few people on the uk.telecom newsgroup would not sign up to 18866 when it started until they offer D/D. Also they have to give you 10/14 days notice of when the money is due to come out, again if you did not get this notice (quite often do not with NTL) you can ask for a immediate refund. That is all in theory, what one bank staff think D/D guaranteed mean as you highlight in other thread shows one D/D main downfall.0
