My itemised bills (which show all calls, charged or not) are online. Aren't yours?
https://secure.planet-talk.co.uk/Login.aspxTime has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

Assuming you use day/time settings for routing your calls, what you describe indicates to me that your Orchid has dropped its clock setting. Either a force home or a manual reset of the clock should fix that.
Have you considered using BT's Charge Advice system so you know when a call has gone via BT and you can investigate immediately?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. every time. will check the clock thing and read. this is not something that ORCHID tell you about and feel really annoyed.Assuming you use day/time settings for routing your calls, what you describe indicates to me that your Orchid has dropped its clock setting. -international calls (france/ireland/italy mainly)
- 0870
- 0844
- premium number such as megabus 0900 (not on saynoto 0870.co.uk)
thanks
18185 with the orchid box? also do 0870 (sometimes you cannot find the alternative number) supposed to go via bt or through 18185 ? bit confused sorry.0 -
-international calls (france/ireland/italy mainly) Yes, via 18185
- 0870 At some times via BT, at other times via 18185 (see HERE)
- 0844 At all times via BT
- premium number such as megabus 0900 (not on saynoto 0870.co.uk) There are no 'cheap' way of calling 09 numbers. I bar them but, if you have to dial them, via BT is as good as it gets.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. If you're happy your program on CW Client is what you want, a force home will never do any harm (I do mine at least once an month during the evening and then check on CW Client that the call has been successful).
PM me you email address and I'll send you an Excel file showing what "the Heinz program" looks like in CW Client. You could use that as a base for your own version (e.g. to allow 09 calls) but, as you could use the 121 prefix to bypass the Orchid for individual calls anyway, I don't see that as a major issue.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market.
