50k claim outstanding, will anyone insure?

we ar moving into rented but keping our property, we are curently in the middle of a big claim that is curently at 26k but anticipated to be the full 50k, we need to get contents insurance but I have notice a few places say you can only apply if you have a settled claim
any suggestions on who to go to?

Was claim Building or contents related
take it ou won't be needing buildings on the rented property- only contents .
