Just received an email. Part of it:
There's no telephone number, alternate email or link, so it's not normal phishing. The originating email address appears to be a valid nowich union email address (@norwich-union.co.uk), although I've not tried it in case it's been masked somehow. So, if it's kosher, it looks like an email from my a/c was intercepted by Norwich Union's spam filters.
It goes without saying that I've not sent out an email regarding Great Deals! Is it possible that someone is using my hotmail a/c to spam with? If so, they're clearing up after themselves as I can't see anything in hotmail.
Anybody know what's going on here?
This note has been sent to you by Norwich Union:
Your message;
To: Quarantine_Unauthorized user (In)\nlocal\nquarantine
Subject: gmhc Only 3 Days Left for Great Deals
The mail titled : gmhc Only 3 Days Left for Great Deals has not been delivered. We apologise for the non-delivery and suggest that an alternative method of
contacting your intended recipient is used.
Possible reasons for this are;
1) The email address you used is incorrect or has been changed.
2) The intended recipient no longer works for Norwich Union.
3) The intended recipient is not authorised to receive external email via this route.
If your intended recipient has a valid business reason for receiving your
message, you should contact them directly (e.g. by telephone or fax) and
ask that they contact the ITSD.

Just sent it Becca. Thanks for that.
It might be an idea to edit out your email address, although, as I mentioned in the email, perhaps I'm not the one to be giving security lessons.
