Going Abroad

Hello, I have recently been moving my credit card balance around and now have around 1700 pounds on a sainsburys bank credit card. I am due to start paying interest in Febuary but I am due to start a job in Australia in January on a long stay business visa for four years. I could really do without having to clear this debt before I go (I have enough expences involved with the move) what do I need to do both legally and in order to not clear this debt. Can I still have the card when living abroad? will I have to psettle the debt? Please help.

I can't answer your questions unfortunately but I too will, hopefully, be following you over there at some point in 2005.

The woman I wish to marry lives in Queensland - she is coming here first and then hopefully we will both go back together.

I'm sure that there must be some way of continuing to pay off what you owe from over there. The best thing to do would be to contact Sainsbury's Bank and explain your situation. I don't know what would happen with statements etc though.
