Nationwide Overdraft Interest Rates

Hi All,
I was wondering why, despite me paying my bills as late as allowed that the interest rate for my FlexAccount was going up rather than down.
I only noticed today that my overdraft interest rate has gone up. It was 0.790 % Per Month, now it's 1.020 % Per Month. The change happened between my May and June statement.
Has anyone else noticed this?
It seems very sneaky to me as I don't remember any letters being sent to me telling me that the rate is changing.

The overdraft interest rate change is stated on the bottom of my June statement where it says "From 1 June the authorised overdraft rate is 12.9% EAR."
