UPVC Window Rubber

Hi All,

I need to know where I can buy the rubber that seals the glass into UPVC window frames. I moved into a house 2 years ago and the rubber is BADLY shrunk and has left gaps betweek the glass and the frame.

I could also do with some of the rubber that seals the opening window against the frame of the window that does not open.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to pay £3000 to have all the windows replaced!

pop down to your local double glazing place and get some as long as the seal between the glass isn't broke it'll be easy to replace,or ring round cause some will oblige others won't

This stuff is called Gasket, and you will pay a tiny amount for it in metres
the only thing is that there are quite a few thickness's so take a piece with you.

The first reply is right. A double glazing supplier will almost certainly sell you some. If u r really stuck, let me know as my brother-in-law has his own dg company.
