Will defo pop in tomorrow to see if they still have them - I love lemon curd!! Nice find!0

It has been at this price at Tesco for several months. Its also the same price (give or take 1 or 2p) at Asda for the same make.0

I didn't say it was going to be banned... I was speculating as to why Tesco were selling it off/trying to get rid, and the reason I thought it might be was that it contains hydrogenated fat (transfats), which are banned in some countries.TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -
gluten is the offending ingredient, but I doubt they will withdraw lemon curd completely, just find a way to make it gluten free
whats gluten got to do with it??
Gluten is found in lots of stuff but you dont find the items being taken off the shelves or sold cheap.
Gluten free alternative of lemon curd will be very expencive as like most gluten free products.
I know as i am a coeliac and have to pay for such items. If You See Someone Without A Smile......Give Them One Of Yours0 -
definitely agree with you there, gluten is in all wheat products (unless they're specifically labelled gluten-free) so we'd be seeing bread banned for a start, not to mention 1000's of other everyday productswhats gluten got to do with it??

& if it only consists of cornflour, sugar & lemon* as a previous poster mentioned, there shouldn't be any gluten in it anyway
*proper lemon curd is made with lemon juice, eggs, butter & sugar, but costs an arm & a leg!0
