Lemon Curd Fans

Hi, for all you lemon curd fans out there just got in from Tesco's and they are doing Gales lemon curd for 20P cheaper than the value range at 35P

    I saw this posted before somewhere. Someone said it was because they are not going to do it much longer as it has stuff in it that is banned in other countries. so who knows.

    gluten is the offending ingredient, but I doubt they will withdraw lemon curd completely, just find a way to make it gluten free

    What on earth makes you think that lemon curd is going to be banned? It consists mainly of cornflour, lemon and sugar. What about blancmange, custard etc - they consist of similar ingredients - are they going to be banned as well?
    Anyway, back to the main post, stock up on Gales lemon curd from Tesco while it's still 20p - Asda have put theirs back up to about 72p, so Tesco will do the same before long.

    Popped into my local Tesco at lunch, and got a few jars as it's BBE is March 2009.
    They still had loads left out on the shelf.
