Firefox and IE (again - sorry)

Hi,

I have a laptop that I connect wirelessly to my main computer and use firefox. I took the previous advice and added a plugin to Firefox that allows IE to open when Firefox starts in order to get microsoft updates, however when this happens, the IE screen says Access Denied (I get this message if I try to connect to IE icon).

Any help would be gratefully received.

Ta everso

What Operating System are you using, and is it a registered copy of XP Genuine.

couple of possibilities that may or may not apply:

    1. have you set the correct details in IE so it can reach the net - proxies etc if required...?
    2. have you got IE blocked in any of the firewall settings?

I take it IE works fine from the main computer?

It is a geniune copy of XP (came with laptop), when I first had the laptop I could connect to IE using a dialup connection, but could never get it to connect using my broadband wireless connection, so I tryed using Firefox which worked OK.

I can get IE on my main computer.

Have you got the most recent version of Internet Explorer? Maybe you need to download updates?
