Bought furniture/bed which was delivered today. unfortunately the wooden slants which the mattress rests on were the wrong size, and the bed frame was dirty and not finished off very well (inside). they that they could post them but i was not happy with the bed so they have taken that back.
Phoned customer service and they can't do anything until they get the paperwork off the driver i.e damage report/pictures which they took. We have waited about 6 weeks for this and we are using an airbed. its very inconvenient as we have visitors next week.
Any suggestions regarding compensation and how to approach this matter!! we might have to wait another 6 weeks for a new bed. i have to phone tomorrow.

If the driver took it back then surely the paperwork should have been with them within 24 hours.
Which company are you dealing with and what actions have you taken in the last six weeks?0 -
Name and shame them now.
Then call trading standards in the morning.0 -
it's all sorted, they seemed quite good about it and they will deliver all next week.0

6 weeks "quite good" ? Your much more patient than i would be!! Really shouldnt take that long! I bet they were quick enough taking your money in the first place! Do tell who they are so others can avoid falling victim!
If i were you i would have sent it back, asked for my money back and gone elsewhere rather than waiting a replacement - probably too late now though.
Don't count your chickens until their eggs hatch though ...i really hope they do deliver your replacement when they say they will and hope it's ok (make sure you check it thoroughly again!).
