I have been using Nero to backup my photos onto cd/dvd but it's just not working anymore. Is there anything I can download free that would do the same job?
Hope someone can help :-)

Why would it not work anymore? What is/or is not occurring? Which version?0

hi. Thanks for the recommendations, really helpful :-)
Donnie, it's Nero 6 ultra edition and I've no idea why it's not working. It starts off burning a disc ok and then just stops. I've had problems with it being unreliable in the past too.
Thanks guys.0 -
If you are not envisaging any 'Authoring', i.e. creating a DVD capable of being played in a standalone DVD player, the suggestions above will certainly take care of your current needs.
If you do envisage that you may wish to create DVD Video, e.g. with photo and video to be played on a standalone player, you might wish to endeavour with Nero.
If you do, uninstall your previous version and download and install the latest update for Nero 6(Don't install the ASK toolbar).
Add your serial code at the appropriate point(further instructions in your private messages).
I would suggest that you download and install Packages 1 & 2.
Which OS are you using and how much RAM installed? Can you let us know by pressing the Flying Windows key together with Pause Break?0 -
Generally problems like you're describing are due to bad quality discs or a drive that's on the way out/dusty inside.
CDBurnerXP is a good alternative if the hardware's ok though. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
