trying to create dvd photoalbum

Hi , I am not very technically minded so I thought I would pick the brains of someone on here. I have nero and created a dvd with a photoo selection, anyhoo it will only play on my computer and not on an ordinary dvd playerdoes any body know what I'm doing wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Shrewdal:confused:

  • In Nero there is an option for creating a Photo Slide Show (DVD), is that the option you chose?, coz otherwise is might not write them in a method playable on regular dvd players.

Not an expert on this, but is my first thought.

Most DVD players will now play disks with JPEG (picture) files.
Older models probably will not, have a look at your DVD player to see if it has a Jpeg or picture disk logo.
PS Ordinary CDs will store lots of photos and are cheaper than blank DVDs

Penrhyn, thanks for your help , I don't want to appear relly thick but where do you put the cd to view the photos . The reason I'm asking this as I am trying to do a photo album of my aunts birthday party and she doesn't have a computer so that is why I wanted to put it into dvd format but would a cd work on the dvd player? thanks for your advice

Shrewdal, you should find that the CD will play in the DVD machine. Mine is only a cheap DVD machine and it works fine.
