Car Insurance Question

My car insurance is up for renewal soon but I am finding it hard to find a company which will insure me. I am finding it difficult because the job I am about to start requires me to do placements right across the UK (approx 6 months each) so I am not based in any one location and as a result I do not have a perminent address ( I am renting for the duration of my placement in that part of the country).

Does anyone know any insurance companies which will insure people in my situation?

My car tax and driving licence is still registered at my parents address if that makes a difference.

Why not get a policy at your current address then notify any change of location as and when it happens - suffering the inevitable admin cost, but then you will only pay increased premiums for part of the year if the location is a bigger risk, and you might also get a refund if you move to a "safer area"?
