getting superglue spill off worktop..

have a small dot of superglue on our black worktop, think it the normal mdf stuff nothing too pricey like marble! so any ideas how to remove please.

    I do some model making and use superglue quite often, you can get superglue solvents to remove superglue. Try a hobby shop. If there none in your area, nail varnish remover (which contains acetone) might also work.

    Becarefull that the 'cure' is not worse than the problem. If you've got any offcuts test on there 1st maybe.

    Nail varnish remover will shift it, but do a patch test first, as per the above post as the cure may be worse!

    The pound shop sell a card of 12 tubes of superglue and 1 tube of anti-bonding solution. I used this to remove a superglue stain from a formica top. Going by the smell alone, I am sure that the anti-bonding solution is simply carbon tetra chloride (CTC). I put a drip of superglue on the formica top where it couldn't be seen and it worked a treat..
  • Pure acetone, quickly rinsed off with water - its abrasive in its pure form.
