Asking whether an HP DV6910 is 'a good laptop' is like asking whether a Ford Mondeo is 'a good car'.
It all depends on what you want to use it for, what features you must have on it, and which features it would be nice to have...0 -
I too was looking at this one but have also seen the HP DV9823EA at 50 quid more. Not so much for hardcore gaming (maybe an odd one) but more for photography, editing photos, videos etc. but I only have a budget of around £500 or so.

Any thoughts about these two?
Was tempted to wait till after Christmas to see if these might be a little cheaper but struggling for space and really need to get shot of my desktop. I'll have to rely on cashback and the odd voucher code I think.
Thanking you.0 -

As laptops go, thats a pretty good spec
Dual core 2 Ghz cpus, 3 Gig ram, a not too bad nvidia graphics card and a 250 Gig hard drive
For a laptop id say thats pretty damn good actually:idea:0 -

The dixons ones a bit pap for the money:idea:0 -
Thanks for that.
Think I am swaying towards the DV6910. I did like the look of the 17" screen on the Dixons one (DV9823EA) seeing as it would be unlikely to go on any travels. Guess you can't have everything though.0
