Holiday pay - how much am I owed?

I worked for a company for a few months (8 paid hour days 13th Feb - 30th May), working a total of 578.5 hours. I only got paid 8 hours of holiday pay. In this time, there were 4 bank holidays, and I also took two and a half days off for personal holidays (one of which was the day I got the aforementioned 8 hours holiday pay for).
The company tell me I was required to request my holiday pay within 14 days of finishing working for them. I have told them that I did attempt to request my holiday pay, but emails and phone calls were not responded to (which is true). This email has also gone unanswered.
Before I put in a complaint to someone higher up in the company can anyone work out how much holiday pay I have missed out on? I want to know if it's worth taking it up with them when it may have been my fault for not requesting it (is that legally right?) and they may give me a bad reference because of it.
My guess is that I've worked roughly a quarter of a year, so am entitled to a quarter of the 24 holiday pay entitlement, ie. 6, minus the 1 I've already received. So it's a week's wages I've missed out on, isn't it?

The company are wrong about the request. They should have automatically paid you any outstanding holiday pay in your final wage packet.
Were you paid for the bank holidays? If so, it would explain where the other days have gone.0 -
That's what I thought - it never occurred to me to ask for the money they owed me! I wasn't paid for bank holidays, or the other 1 and a half days holiday.0

I put in a complaint to the MD of the agency who were employing me, and he says I am entitled to 4 days' pay which has now been paid, and he is dealing with my complaint about the agent who told me I had to claim it within 14 days. Hurrah!0
