Which account is best for me?

Hello!
In a few weeks, as I'm starting my undergraduate course at KCL, I'll have to create my account at some British bank. The question is - which one to choose?
For quite a long time (after reading articles at this website) I thought that Halifax student account is the best choice. Well, as I found out recently (thank you for help!), it is not.
Therefore the question arises - which bank account is the best choice? The problem is that I am not eligible for the majority of student accounts as I've not been a permanent resident in UK for 3 years (I'm just moving to UK). However, I come from an EU country, if it changes anything.
Thank you for your help!
Best regards,
Theriel
