at present have brilliant white walls and black high gloss marble effect worktops, what options are there for the 30cm or so above the owrktops to save the walls from splashes of food washing up etc other than tiles?
looking for something a bit different any ideas?

Stainless steel was getting quite popular at one point, but getting it machined isn't cheap and it won't go with everything, but with black and a darker wood kitchen it looks nice, especially if you have SS appliances as well as most do nowadays.0

Hi,
I saw this a few weeks ago and thought it looked good- acrylic splashback. Not sure how difficult it is to do though, but it looks pretty good to me!0 -
Glass splash backs? Generally they are more of a green tinged glass than clear, but can look quite nice.
Personally if I were you though I would stick to tiles, everything else will put your kitchen exactly into En-Vogue, which means that it will be as fast back out of it again!0
