            I would only ever really recommend Apple Macs personally. Mac do have software that run micro$oft files, and all come with iTunes, but if the works PCs are window$ too then they may not all be compatible.
As soon as a mac fanboy starts replacing 'S' with '$', their argument suddenly loses validity.

I love Macs. I'm typing this reply on one. However, with a £350 budget, a MacBook is not an option. You'd need at least double that.
Also, from what I gather, the OP doesn't need most of the features that come with the MacBook. It's silly to advise him/her to buy something unnecessary just because you like it.0 - 
            eBay is a wonderful place if you are looking for a bargain, and you can buy the extended warrenties there too... Nowhere did I suggest a MacBook, you can get an iBook for £350 easily
