For a start you'd probably get a better responce in the 'Techie' thread, but you need to know what you want first. Will it just be used for net and music/photo storage, or with some decent software and more work usage? Windows/Mac/Dunno?! Big hard drive? Fast? Screen size?

Give us some guidelines and we'll try help you out :)

What programs will you need it to run for work? Nearly any computer will be fine for net/photos and music (would suggest 60/80gig, or more, hard drive for storage).

I would only ever really recommend Apple Macs personally. Mac do have software that run micro$oft files, and all come with iTunes, but if the works PCs are window$ too then they may not all be compatible.
