New bill after BG price rise

Just had my new bill after price rise on 30/7/08.
It appears that for the 68 days before the price rise my usage was 1.39 kwh per day but for the 21 days after it jumped to 2.99 kwh per day!!!!!
We only use gas for cooking so we are only being ripped of for a few pence but heavier users should argue if their usage is similarly skewed in BG's favour.

No reliance should be placed on the above.

2 questions:
Why are you still with BG?
If you want to stay with BG, why aren't you on their Click Energy 5 tariff?Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Bill only about £10 per quarter so couldn't be bothered, but have now switched to Scottish Power - estimated saving 90%!!!No reliance should be placed on the above.0

Really - care to give figures?0 -
By all means try it yourself. Annual usage 850 kwh. BG £64, Scottish Power £6!!!!No reliance should be placed on the above.0

So you only pay 0.7 pence per kWh(less than one penny) with Scottish Power?
Care to give kWh prices? or how you are working out a £6 annual bill.
Presumably you are are counting some sort of dual fuel discount against your gas bill?
I have a little used annex that has gas and electricity. The dual fuel discount is applied to the electricity account. That annual discount is greater than the annual cost of the electricity I use.
So I can state that BG supply free electricity and in fact actually pay you to receive their electricty!!!0
