Free Extended Waranty

Hello,

I am going to purchase a 46" TV and would like to know if anyone knows of a credit card which offers an extended warranty on electrical goods.

I have looked at the Nationwide one but the warranty does not cover TVs over 37". I do not want to purchase an extended warranty as i think they are expensive and think they should come with at leased 5years warranty.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Paul K

  • Buy it from John Lewis?

This kind of warranty used to be fairly common but I think most cards don't offer it any more.

If JL is a no no get a quote from Dom & Gen or companies like them to see what they would charge for a warranty and compare with the price you have been quoted.
  • Perhaps HSBC card?

Not sure of the exact terms and conditions though.

Seems strage they dont' cover tvs over 37 inches - I could understand not covering over maybe 42 or 50 but there are so many tvs 40-42 inches.

I'm with nationwide and I covered my 51 inch TV and have the policy document to prove it. Not sure who else does this though.
