I've just cleared my first debt and boy it feels good! Thanks for your helo

sorry help!..okay so it was only Ebay for £33.43 but its money i didn't have and wouldn't have had unless i started the payment a day challenge on here! its one less horrible letter to get through the post my tip is that if like my bank they wont allow you to make electronic payments under £2.00 transfer the pennies balance into a savings account and when you have a substantial amount pay if off something.

It couldn't come at a better time i'm at month 3 and didn't seem to be making any head way so this has cheered me up no end - people feeling the same as me - keep going i'm finding it so hard and want to give up and £33 might not seem alot to everyone but its made me realise i can do this i've just gotta stick at it

Thanks for the support guys xxxx

It may seem small but it is one less hassle, makes you feel more positive and we all know feeling positive helps us focus. Do you have a target for what debt is next???

Personally I tend to focus on one debt and blitz that with any spare pennys I have.

  • Well done, any debt will do!!!!
It is encouraging for me that you are still feeling motivated at month three, we are at month three also, and although we have COMPLETELY changed how we spend our money, it still feels very disheartening at times when we don't seem to be making much progress. So it is good to see that you are making progress and it has spurred me on.

One of the positive things we have done is transfer a small debt (£355) to 0% rather than the huge one it was on and that feels good because each month the whole amount we pay is coming off the debt.

    Keep going you.
